Green Party of New Orleans Statement on 2017 Annual National Meeting

Danil Faust statement on disqualification

It is official. I have been disqualified as a candidate for Clerk of Criminal Court. They pulled out the legendary Ike Spears to defeat me today. I had incorrectly assumed that Federal law applied and I had until the election to change my party registration. It happens.

Or: "Where were you when we needed you?" Or even: "I told this would happen!"

However, it's my opinion that we can't afford such luxuries. The current widespread unrest and unprecedented levels of civic involvement surely represent an opportunity, and our challenge is to make the most of it, for the common good.
